Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd admits he doesn’t miss Paula Lane – because he hasn’t had the time to think about her
On the other hand, character David Platt is plotting a revenge on Kylie's killer - which may take him out with it
Kylie Platt's murder sent shockwaves through Coronation Street, but behind the scenes actress Paula Lane's departure has barely been noticed.
The actress - whose character Kylie was killed off in July after being stabbed by Clayton - isn't being missed in the ITV soap because the rest of the Platt family have been too busy to notice her absence.
Asked whether he missed seeing his former on-screen wife every day, actor Jack P. Sherpherd said: "No, it's only because it has been none stop, hasn't it and we haven't had time I don't think to think about her.
"And because the scenes we've been doing have been very dramatic, I think it'll feel weird when we're doing normal everyday Platt scenes and she's not there."
Helen Worth, who plays Gail Platt, added: "The other thing is you always expect characters to come back.
"You don't say goodbye to them, you just think they will be there again because people do go away and come back."
The actress even floated the idea that Kylie could return from the dead, adding: "You never know."
