Thandie Newton strips NAKED for her role as robot sex-worker in controevrsial new Westworld
The 43-year-old stars as Maeve Millay in the series
THANDIE Newton has stripped off for her role in TV show Westworld.
The 43-year-old plays robot sex worker Maeve Millay in the controversial drama, which has already seen her co-star Evan Rachel Wood go completely naked.
In the clip from the upcoming episode, the actress can be seen looking confused and scared as she wakes up in the middle of a surgical procedure.
While going full frontal, she can be seen falling to her knees in horror, before being injected in the neck by some workers.
The HBO series – which airs on Sky Atlantic in the UK - has already raised eyebrows thanks to its violent and often graphic nature.
Episodes of the show, which tells the story of a theme park where visitors can play out bizarre fantasies, has featured both the raping and killing of robots.
The actress also admitted that she was ‘horrified’ when she first read the script – saying: “They have created a world which deals with the issues I’ve struggled with all my adult life – exploitation, ignorance, and a culture of complicity and disconnection. It was deeply empowering.”
The actress previously said that the role Westworld has made her feel she is “satisfying a good contribution to the world”.
She explained: “In terms of satisfying a good contribution to the world, it’s difficult. Until Westworld.
“Westworld, every day, I’m contributing not only to making the world better but also healing bits of me that have been affected as a woman, as a woman of colour.”
And she believes having to film in the nude “almost every day” for her portrayal as a madam of the underworld, has enabled her to address and respond to political, cultural and feminist issues prevalent in society.
She explained: “Here I was taking centre stage. Here I was naked on set almost every day. Here I was able to actually challenge and deal with the objectification of women.”
