Tameka Empson tearfully reveals her shock at being voted off Strictly Come Dancing
EastEnders actress found herself in the bottom two in a shock dance-off with Laura Whitmore on Sunday night
TAMEKA Empson has spoken of her shock over being the second celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing.
The EastEnders actress found herself in the dance-off with Laura Whitmore on Sunday night's results show, much to the horror of viewers and the judges.
The star and her dance partner Gorka had danced a cop-inspired Tango to 'The Heat Is On' from the movie Beverly Hills Cop, which they scored a respectable 28 for, and speaking to Zoe Ball on It Takes Two on Monday, Tameka couldn't hide her disappointment and confusion at being in the bottom two.
She said: "I was surprised if I’m honest, not being big headed. I didn’t put a foot wrong and being in that character."
During the results show the 39-year-old revealed she had suffered a back injury, but during her chat, she insisted it didn't affect her performance.
She said: "I had a bit of pain in my back but I used that pain to drive through."

Her comments come after she appeared to make a bit of a dig at fellow contestant Anastacia - who had to withdraw from the dance-off the previous week after tearing her double mastectomy scars - by flashing her strapped up knee during her final dance with Gorka.
But during her chat with Zoe, Tameka insisted she loved everyone else taking part on the show.
She said: "They are a great group of people. The talent was tough this year, but think it was a great year for me to do it.
"I’m going to keep dancing. I love it. I love the whole process."
Tameka also revealed how she had been looking forward to doing the cha cha and the rumba, before tearing up as she complimented her professional dance partner Gorka.
She said: "I know I’m not what you call a dancer, a dancer type, but I did put the work in.
"I didn’t want it to be so short for Gorka."
