Louis Tomlinson is launching a clothing range inspired by his lucky number

LOUIS TOMLINSON is following his former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles by branching out into other industries.

Harry launched nail polish and skincare collection Pleasing last November, and now Louis is following in his entrepreneurial footsteps by bringing out a clothing brand.

Louis has trademarked a brand called “28” and it covers everything from jumpers and tracksuits to baseball caps and bags.

The label, named after Louis’ favourite number, was made official last month and it is expected the singer will start flogging his wares at the end of this year.

Louis has been wearing his own “28” branded clothes on his most recent tour, including T-shirts and hoodies.

He is such a fan of the numbers he even had them tattooed on two of his fingers.

The singer has spent the past few months playing venues across the US as part of his first solo world tour and is preparing to start work on his second LP — two years after the release of debut Walls.

Speaking about working on the record, Louis said: “I’ve enjoyed the process 20 times more than on the first album.

“I think that’s because there’s still pressure for me to deliver a good record, but there was just so many different opinions on the first album and me trying to find my feet coming out of a band the size of One Direction, so there was just so much going on in my head.”

Louis also shut down comments made about One Direction by Liam Payne.

Liam had come under fire for comments he made about Zayn Malik on a podcast a few weeks ago and subsequently took to Twitter to clarify that Zayn was his “brother” and he would “stand by him forever”.

Louis said: “I’m immensely proud of One Direction, as I know Liam is.

“I’m immensely proud of those days, obviously. I mean, it was an incredible thing to do at such a young age.

“I’ve had amazing memories.”

Raring to 'go

OLIVIA RODRIGO only completed her world tour last month but she is wasting no time in making the follow-up to mega-selling 2021 debut album Sour.

I’ve learned she is already back in the studio in the US and has once again teamed up with top producer and songwriter Dan Nigro, who was one of the few people she worked with on Sour.

He produced or co-wrote ten of the 11 tracks on the record and they are now working on ideas which Olivia has come up with in the meantime

A source said: “Olivia’s debut was one of the biggest in years. She really did something special when she was in the studio with Dan. She wants the follow-up to evolve her sound so it isn’t exactly the same.

"But she feels like she and Dan are a dream team when they get in the studio, so she is hoping they can make more magic together.

“Olivia had a few weeks off after the tour finished but she is champing at the bit to make headway on the second album.

“The last 18 months have been a complete whirlwind and while there is no rush to get new music out, she doesn’t want to leave it too long.”

The last couple of years will have given her plenty to write about.

And given that she wrote her debut in a matter of weeks, I wouldn’t be surprised if the follow-up is out by next year.

Christina’s pride before a windfall

SHE’S had four No 1 singles and 17 Top Ten hits but if you didn’t already think Christina Aguilera was a superstar, you will when you find out the fees she charges.

I’ve learned she earned a giant six-figure payday for her performance at Brighton Pride on Saturday, where she wore a neon outfit in a line-up alongside Raye, Ella Henderson and Todrick Hall.

The Lady Marmalade singer wore the bold green bodysuit with horns attached to her chest and thigh-high boots as she performed hits including Dirrty and Beautiful at Preston Park

She teamed her striking look with a visor before changing into a black PVC outfit with sequinned flames.

And as if there wasn’t a more showbiz way to spend her megabucks, she has now jetted off on a luxury holiday in Capri to unwind.

She performed UK shows in Scarborough, Liverpool and London before Saturday’s south coast finale.

But she can now relax in style for the next few weeks after flying out her whole family on the trip.

At London’s O2 Arena on Friday she was joined on stage by Years & Years’ Olly Alexander for a performance of Say Something, and she told the audience: “I’ve brought my kids on tour. I have Mum duty and singing duty.

“I come and I get to see your faces and I remember why I do it. Many times I was told to change who I was and to change my last name because Aguilera is hard to say – it’s not relatable.

“But no, this is me. My children are travelling the world with me and it’s so beautiful to see.”

I imagine it’s especially beautiful when you can go to a super-pricey location like Capri.

Enjoy it, Christina.

HE is one of our biggest reality TV stars but Joey Essex’s latest venture is all about getting away from the small screen.

The Towie favourite has teamed up with Premier Inn to check out the UK’s best staycation sites.

Seemingly fancying himself as a more upmarket tour guide than you might expect, first on Joey’s to-do list was genteel Bath.

Swerving the bars and clubs, Joey opted for a more cultural trip to Bath Abbey and the Jane Austen Centre.

Jane Austen and Joey Essex – two names I never thought I’d see in the same sentence.

Kylie looks grey-t

KYLIE JENNER dressed down for her Saturday night out in London, even though she had flown all the way to the UK to cheer on rapper boyfriend Travis Scott.

She wore this tight white top and grey stonewashed jeans as she and her daughter Stormi headed to the O2 Arena, where Travis was playing the first of two sold-out shows.

It was his first headline concert since a crowd crush killed ten people at his Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas, last November.

Despite the pressure on him, he was half an hour late on stage – although the audience loved him once he arrived.

The London shows were a warm-up to his Las Vegas residency next month.

If Travis learned anything from Saturday’s concert, it is that he should pay attention to the clock.

'Crazy journey'

The Big Pink have announced their first album in a decade, which they have made with Jamie T, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner and Jamie Hince from The Kills.

The British indie band, best known for their hit Dominoes, will release their long-awaited third record The Love That's Ours on September 30.

Frontman Robbie Furze said: “Getting to this point has been one of the craziest journeys in my life. This is the soundtrack of my journey to get here.

“It was frightening, but also beautiful at the same time, full of fun, but hand-in-hand full of terror and sadness.”
