Lauren Goodger in hospital following ‘attack’ by boyfriend Charles Drury just hours after tragic baby’s funeral
EX-Towie star Lauren Goodger’s boyfriend was arrested for allegedly assaulting her after their baby’s funeral.
Lauren, 35, was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries at around 1am on Thursday.
Officers were called to reports of a bust-up in Upminster, Essex. early on Thursday — just hours after the funeral of the couple’s baby daughter.
Lauren, 35, was taken to hospital with severe facial injuries at around 1am while her builder boyfriend Charles Drury, 25, was arrested and taken into custody.
He was eventually released on police bail in the early hours of Friday. Lauren has also been interviewed by cops.
It came after a private family funeral for the couple’s daughter Lorena — who was tragically pronounced dead shortly after being born last month.

A source told The Sun tonight that Lauren was already at “rock bottom” even before Thursday’s alleged incident.
They said: “It happened after Lauren and Charlie came back from Lorena’s funeral.
“They had a private family ceremony on Wednesday which was not publicised.
“It was obviously a very emotional time.

“Lauren did not drink after the funeral and was trying her best to hold it together.
“Everyone who knows her is so upset — she was already at absolute rock bottom but it’s somehow got even worse.”
The alleged incident occurred at an address in Upminster, Essex, soon after midnight.
Drury spent all of Thursday being questioned at a police station in East London before his release at around 3am on Friday.
After the alleged attack, Dancing on Ice and Big Brother star Lauren was taken to hospital by a friend for medical check-ups.
She returned there today for X-rays. The telly beauty also gave officers a statement.
The day before Drury’s arrest, Lauren shared an emotional message to their daughter Lorena, who passed away minutes after she was born on July 8.
Alongside butterfly, angel and pregnancy emojis, she posted on Instagram: “I carried you, I felt you grow. Longed for the day we’d meet. Dreamed of your future.
“Not only did I know you, I fell in love with you.”
Ten doctors tried in vain to save the 9lb baby — who had a strong heartbeat before Lauren’s contractions began.
She was born with two knots in her umbilical cord which was tied around her neck.
After she died, her traumatised mother spent hours saying goodbye to her.
The heartbroken star also later revealed she still “has a bit of a bump” which sometimes tricks her into thinking her baby girl was “still there”.
She said: “It’s weird. My body feels like it’s unsettled, like it’s missing a newborn.”
Lauren and Drury — who have a year-old daughter Larose together — had a rocky relationship prior to Thursday’s alleged attack.
The couple split for three weeks last year then reconciled.
But Amy Gilbert, 24, then revealed she had met Drury for sex during the split at his East London home — and they had even spent a weekend together.
Amy said at the time: “We were messaging for a couple of days and then he wanted me to go and meet him in a local place where he was living — and I did.
“I slept with him on that night, it was quite intense first of all. Then he asked to see me again the following day.”
In 2019, Drury also revealed he had been a toyboy lover of Katie Price, 44.
But he told The Sun he was left “disappointed” in the bedroom and rated the former model only a “one out of ten” after they romped on their first date.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said tonight: “Police were called at 00.37 on Thursday, August 4, to reports of an altercation at a residential address in Upminster, Essex.
Officers attended.“At the scene a woman, aged 30s, was found with facial injuries.

LAUREN Goodger rose to fame in 2010 as an original cast member on ITV2 hit The Only Way Is Essex.
The first two series centred mainly around her relationship with Mark Wright.
The “darlings of the show” got engaged before splitting months later in 2011.
However the pair remained friends and Lauren invited him and his family to the christening of her first daughter, Larose.
Also invited was Mark’s best pal and his former Towie co-star, James Argent.
After leaving Towie in 2012, she took part in ITV’s Dancing on Ice the next year.
Partnered with pro skater Michael Zenezini, she was eliminated in week two.
In 2014 she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house and stayed for 24 days, until she became the seventh housemate to be evicted.
Lauren has previously spoken about having a difficult and fractured relationship with her family while growing up.
“A man, aged 25, was arrested on suspicion of assault.
“He was taken to an East London police station and subsequently bailed pending further inquiries. Inquiries continue.”
Muscular fitness fanatic Drury - an ex-lover of Katie Price - was quizzed by police throughout Thursday following his arrest before being released on police bail early on Friday.
Dancing on Ice and Big Brother star Lauren was taken to hospital by her friend after the incident for medical check-ups.

Charles’ arrest came just a day after Lauren shared a touching message to lost mite Lorena.
Lauren posted an Instagram message telling how much she loved her daughter, who passed away minutes after she was born on July 8.
She said: “I carried you, I felt you grow,” the reality TV star posted to her stories alongside butterfly, angel and pregnancy emojis.
“Longed for the day we’d meet. Dreamed of your future. Not only did I know you, I fell in love with you.”
