X FACTOR viewers have slammed the show while accusing contestants of “miming” their group performance on Sunday.
The 11 finalists took to the stage to perform Fleur East’s hit Sax as a group – but viewers were less than impressed with their efforts.
Taking to Twitter, Jade Jenkins wrote: “Why are they miming the chorus.. it's a love singing competition. This is why I'm not a huge fan of the show #xfactor.”
Brenda Hobbs added: “#XFactor - good start - group song miming and badly too. Can't believe people actually pay to vote on this farce. Surely it's fraud??!!”
Mark Cam blasted: “#XFactor nice bit of miming to start the show. Anybody that thinks x factor is a talent/singing show is so deluded”
The backlash didn’t stop there, with hundreds more posts flooding the social media site.
Another user raged: “I don't know why they insist on these awful miming group performances , it's ok we don't need them!! #XFactor”
More users stated it “shouldn’t be allowed” and branded the whole thing “cringe.”
