TOP Gear fans don’t like change – just ask CHRIS EVANS.

But JEREMY CLARKSON’s new motoring show The Grand Tour needs a new theme tune and it could have two huge names at the helm of it.

I’m told rock legends WILKO JOHNSON and ROGER DALTREY are top of Jeremy’s hitlist to pen the music.

Long-time fans of BBC’s Top Gear got used to hearing Jessica by THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND over the opening credits on the motoring show and will be looking for something equally impressive for Jezza’s new Amazon Prime series, launching next month.

The DR FEELGOOD star and WHO legend performed a gig for Amazon bigwigs in August – which insiders have described as an “audition”.

A source said: “Jeremy is a huge fan of Roger and Wilko.

“The track which they played was a rocking blues number and would be great for the show. It’s one of a couple of options. Jeremy is also looking at getting his favourite band HOTHOUSE FLOWERS to have a go.”

There’s even talk on set of getting co-host JAMES MAY, a former choirboy and keen pianist, himself to help out on the theme tune.

If that ends up being the case, it’s bound to be a slow song.

Jessica's horror

LORD SUGAR has no time for clowns in his boardroom.

So The Apprentice hopeful JESSICA CUNNINGHAM might want to keep her past acting ambitions a secret from the man she hopes will be her future business partner.

The former stripper once starred in a low-budget horror film in which she was raped by a clown.

She may want to keep it a secret for Lord Sugar

Jessica, a talking point of last week’s launch show, played “ambitious, feisty” advertising exec Jenny, who suffers a “brutal sexual assault” in 2014 flick Lock In.

In a trailer for the film – made for just £148,000 – the clown hits Jessica, above, and throws her into a lift.

Behind-the-scenes pics show her in gym clothes, gagged and tied to a chair dripping in blood.

I hope Lord Sugar goes a bit easier on her.

Another big break for Banjo

ASHLEY BANJO, who got his big break on ITV with Britain’s Got Talent, is set to be head judge on the channel’s upcoming show Dance Dance Dance – and now his DIVERSITY troupe is to host Christmas one-off Steal The Show.

An insider said: “Bosses hope he’ll bring a younger audience to ITV.” Diversity will dance with Ashley choreographing.

GIVEN he’s followed by millions on YouTube, ALFIE DEYES would have a tough time hiding his identity online.

ZOELLA’s vlogger fella is to put his web wisdom to the test in the UK version of MTV’s online dating reality series Catfish: The TV Show according to its US presenter NEV SCHULMAN.

Nev said: “There’s a production company currently putting together a UK series.

“They thought the best way is to hire UK hosts, which is great, but I’ve made myself available and expressed tremendous interest – as has (co-host) MAX JOSEPH.

“The last I heard was that Alfie Deyes is in talks to do it. He’s a charming YouTuber.”

Catfish airs on Mondays at 10pm on MTV.

Soapbox

HE already has enough on his plate juggling two pregnant women, but CORONATION STREET’s Steve McDonald has another drama to deal with when he receives a call from jailbird dad Jim.

In tonight’s episode, which I first told you about last month, Steve tells Michelle Connor that he might have myotonic dystrophy – a serious condition that causes muscle wasting. It is also hereditary, so Steve may have passed it on to his unborn babies.
In EMMERDALE, Rakesh Kotecha’s welcome-home bash turns sour when Priya Sharma smacks him round the face after concluding that he’s slept with Chrissie White.
And later Ross Barton pushes James down the stairs, breaking his leg.
At this rate The Woolpack will be turning into an A&E.
