X Factor duo Brooks Way ‘in tears’ as show’s bosses axe them from competition over singer Josh’s abusive past
The twins couldn't contain their emotions as they were pictured leaving the X Factor studio for the last time
THIS is the moment Brooks Way were officially booted from the X Factor after breaking down in tears during crisis talks with show bosses on Sunday.
The devastated twins learned they'd been axed from the competition permanently, after being pulled from Saturday's live show following a Sun on Sunday probe that revealed the extent of Josh Brooks' abusive relationship with ex-girlfriend Amelia Clarke.
The pair were ushered into the studio through a secret back entrance by a team of security guards for the emergency meeting.
An X Factor source exclusively tells The Sun Online: "The boys were in bits during the 90-minute meeting and completely broke down in tears.
"Show bosses went really hard saying they can't tolerate that behaviour and they're not welcome back at the studios."
Their shock exit from the competition comes after The Sun revealed the extent of Josh's abusive relationship with ex-girlfriend Amelia Clark.
Amelia said she had been left with bite marks to her face, black eyes and severe bruising on her legs and arms during their four year relationship.
The attacks were so frequent that police, who had been called on six occasions, begged her to apply for a restraining order against him.
Amelia told a friend: “At points during our relationship I was black and blue.
“I was constantly lying about where my bruises had come from.
“The worst time was last year.
“He came to my house and because my parents had new white carpets fitted I told him not to walk on them.
“He said the way that I spoke to him wasn’t acceptable, knocked me over and kicked me in the face so hard that my nose broke. I heard it click out.
“Both my eyes instantly went black and blood was streaming from my nose, but as I was standing over the sink he punched me again and again in the back.
“There was no one around to help me, and I was really scared so I tried to call the police — but he threatened to smash the phone.
“I ran upstairs to the bedroom and locked the door until he left.”
Fellow act Bratavio later revealed that they didn't get to say goodbye to the twins.
It’s been confirmed that Brooks Way will be replaced by another act from Louis Walsh's acts from boot camp, with many X Factor fans backing Yes Lad.
