Rolf Harris’ daughter launches bizarre defence of her disgraced dad by comparing him to the legendary Spanish artist

ROLF Harris’s daughter has compared her paedophile father to Picasso in leaked excerpts from a book she is writing about her disgraced dad.

Fine artist Bindi, 52, is close to completing the book which she hopes will change the public perception of Rolf, 86, who was jailed for nearly six years for 12 indecent assaults on four girls - including one aged just seven or eight.

He now faces eight new charges of indecent assault and sexual touching of girls and women aged between 12 and 27.

In the book Bindi, Rolf’s only child, goes to elaborate lengths to justify her dad’s behaviour, even going as far as to compare him to famous artists of the past who had consensual relationships with younger women.

In leaked excerpts, she writes: “I watched a programme about Picasso’s wives and how he fell in love with this girl who became his muse and secret lover at the age of about 14-15.

"They waited until she was 16 and then got married and were married for years.

“Do we now take all of his paintings from the galleries and burn them and denounce him as an artist and forget he ever painted?

“Because Picasso was a paedophile.”

In another chapter Bindi tries to justify the idea of Rolf’s conviction on underage girls by appealing to the public majority and how they respond to scantily clad women in pop videos.

She said: “After all, how many people have looked at Britney Spears in the video of her dressed in schoolgirl outfits?”

In the book Bindi plans to “expose” the trial as a “sham” and has even gone as far as to label the victims as “liars, cheaters, and thieves”.

In the book, which she told family would be called BinVincible, she also references her former friend, who it was revealed was one of at least 19 women and children Rolf pounced on.

Writing about the childhood pal, who Rolf met when she was just three, she said: “She loved drinking, she was a great drinker, which she inherited from her drinking family.

"Yes my father should have been stronger, should have had better boundaries.

"He should have said no.

"He was married and he was the older wiser of the two, this was my best friend so that was also a no go area, but he didn’t say no, they both loved the danger and the secrecy, and don’t forget this flirtation went on for twenty odd years, but they only had actual sex twice.”
