X Factor star Honey G’s MUM is seen for the first time and praises her quirky performance
HONEY G might have come under fire from X Factor fans but her loving mum is fighting her corner and showed her support as she took to the stage for the first live show.
The quirky rapper has been slammed by telly addicts during the audition rounds, with many expressing their anger as Sharon Osbourne chose her for the Overs category at the Judge's Houses stage last week.
A petition to get her booted off the show in ongoing yet her proud parent, dubbed Mamma G, spoke out on spin-off show Xtra Factor and said: "On behalf of my family, I want to say we are so proud of her tonight.
"We admire her tenacity and courage."
She showed her cheerleader status by sporting a white T-shirt with the words Honey G emblazoned across the front.
Channelling her daughter's streetwise, Coolio-inspired look, she donned a red baseball cap on her head.
Meanwhile host Rylan Clark-Neal could be heard whispering "she's normal" to the crowd before head judge Simon Cowell said: "I've met the mum, she is very sweet."
