Mystery over Holly Willoughby reporting her car stolen… only for cops to find it at hubby Dan Baldwin’s office
Panicky presenter told police motor had vanished from the family’s home, but it was found hours later by tracker
TELLY’S Holly Willoughby reported her car stolen — and cops found it at her hubby’s office.
The panicky This Morning presenter, 35, told police the Mercedes SUV had vanished from the family’s home.
They found it four later thanks to its tracker.
But in a bizarre twist — and despite reuniting her with the motor — police are continuing to investigate the suspected “theft” in Barnes, South West London.
The car was found at Queen’s Club in West Kensington — where Holly’s husband Dan Baldwin, 41, rents an office for a TV production company he runs with Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Peter Jones.
A source at the club said: “The police located it easily enough that night on the street a few yards away from the offices of Hungry Bear Media in annexe on the site of Queen’s.
“It was clamped that night and towed away the next morning.
“Police also took CCTV from the club, seemingly in the hope of identifying whoever took the car in the first place.
“It is not clear whether the police even realise at this stage that Dan has an office at the club and there may be a much simpler explanation behind the disappearance of Holly’s car other than it being stolen.
“But if indeed Dan did have the car, it does make you wonder why she didn’t realise it? Perhaps he didn’t have his phone on him that day and was out of contact in meetings.”
Scotland Yard confirmed: “Our inquiries continue.”
