The Apprentice 9pm BBC1
This week’s episode is a real classic, and a spot of ‘jean therapy’ might be required after watching.
The teams are given the job of creating a brand, packaging and an advert for jeans made from premium Japanese denim – prompting one of the most magnificent mid-task meltdowns you’ve ever witnessed.
This is one of those Apprentice challenges where neither side excels, to put it mildly.
The boys are led by Mukai, who has a background in fashion, but simply won’t listen to anyone else on his team.
The girls, meanwhile are project-managed by Jessica, who also has fashion experience, but threatens to begin a civil war, then loses the jeans they’re working with. Incredibly, it’s downhill from there, and you might find yourself having to watch the excruciating pitch meetings through your fingers.
The results are so bad that, after seeing the campaigns, Lord Sugar is forced to take unprecedented steps in the boardroom.
If the candidates can keep this magnificent awfulness up, then it will be the best series to date.
The Fall 9pm BBC2
So, is Spector’s amnesia the real deal or is he faking it?
That’s the question you’ll be asking yourself throughout this hour as the world’s most handsome serial killer faces a court appearance.
He certainly seems to have won over his nurse Keira (Aisling Bea), who appears to have developed quite the soft spot for her extremely dangerous patient. Run, woman, run!
Paranoid 9pm ITV
Bobby (Robert Glenister) heads over to Germany to help out in the investigation into Ruben Lorcana’s murder – but it’s hard to know who he should trust.
And things get even more complex when chasing a lead has catastrophic consequences for the team.
The twists and turns mean this drama series continues to be both slightly strange and slightly thrilling.
Exposure: Islam’s Non Believers, 10.40pm ITV
Renouncing Islam carries the death penalty in a dozen countries, but even in Britain it can be dangerous to leave the religion, as it can lead to ostracism, discrimination and violence.
In this fascinating documentary, activists such as Maryam Namazie, head of the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain, explains the trouble it can cause.
