What time is Class on tonight and where can I watch it?

The final two episodes of the sci-fi drama are being shown back to back tonight on BBC One starting at 10.45pm.

The action, penned by Patrick Ness, was previously shown last autumn on BBC3.

It features "more mature themes" than Dr Who so advised it is suitable only for an older audience.

What is Class about?

The plotline is set in the Dr Who universe and centres on four Sixth Form students at Coal Hill school, in London.

The educational establishment has previously been a cornerstone of the Dr Who extra-terrestrial world yet all that Time Travel has now caused the walls of space to wear thin.

Issues of sex, sorrow, schoolwork, parents and friends are all under the spotlight as the mates face their fears - as well as the end of their existence - as an unknown evil presses on the other side of the wall.

To ramp up the drama, the BBC also teased the slogan: "Fear is coming, tragedy is coming, war is coming. Prepare yourselves, Class is coming."

Is Peter Capaldi in it?

Yes! Although just as a cameo. Steven Moffat, Class and Doctor Who Executive Producer, told the BBC: "Class is dark and sexy and right now. I’ve always wondered if there could be a British Buffy - it’s taken the brilliant Patrick Ness to figure out how to make it happen.”

Patrick took to his Twitter page to hype up Peter's role in the series and wrote: "Wait 'til you see the stuff he brings, it's fantastic. It was so much fun!"

The award-winning YA writer added to the BBC: "We searched far and wide for this amazing cast, fantastic actors who understand what we’re aiming for with this show.

"And how lucky we are to get Katherine Kelly! She’s been stunning in Happy Valley, The Night Manager and Mr Selfridge, just wait until you see her here.”
