Kylie Minogue is working on new music in London – despite her big move back to Australia
IF you thought Kylie Minogue’s move back to Australia might slow down her work schedule, you couldn’t be more wrong.
I can reveal she is back in the UK and has been busy making her 16th studio album, which will be out sooner rather than later.
The Aussie pop star is devoting her summer to the project and wants to head out on tour again once it is out.
Although that will mean a wait for fans, the good news is that she has been working with someone who is no stranger to creating hit records.
I told yesterday how Perrie Edwards had been in the studio with songwriter Kamille, who wrote a series of Little Mix's biggest hits, and now Kylie has called on her talents, too.
They spent time together on Wednesday working on new material, which is likely to be equally as poppy as her No1 album Disco in 2020, the fastest-selling record by a solo act that year in the UK.

Kamille has been called the fifth member of Little Mix after writing Black Magic, Shout Out To My Ex, Power and Break Up Song, so Kylie is in safe hands.
She has written for Stormzy, Dua Lipa and Mabel, too.
A source said: “Kylie didn’t get a chance to tour her last album because of Covid restrictions, but she’s thrown herself back into writing music.
“She really loves being in the studio and is spending this summer working on her next record with some really exciting collaborators like Kamille.
“Disco proved that she still has what it takes to make a massively successful pop album and people are queuing up to work with her.
“There are major plans in the pipeline and she can’t wait to have another record out and to be back on the road.

“It has been more than three years since her Golden tour and she is itching to perform.
“But that won’t happen now until this new album is out. It’s going to be well worth the wait.”
Kylie hinted in october last year that a tour for Disco could still happen.
She said at the time: “I’m dreaming of doing dates. We are inching closer to being able to do something like that. Patience. I can’t wait.
“Keep your disco outfit not too far away. Not at the back of the cupboard.”
However the surge of the Omicron variant at the end of last year put paid to those plans.
With new music on the not too distant horizon, I’m sure she will be back up there doing what she does best in no time at all.

DRAKE has spent the past few weeks on a trip to Europe and it looks like he’s having a holiday romance.
Here he is hopping on to a boat in Saint Tropez, in the South of France, with YouTuber Suede Brooks .
The rapper was seen chatting and laughing with the influencer, who has 1.5million Instagram followers, before they headed to celebrity haunt Club 55 for lunch with pals on Wednesday.
He has not been in a public relationship since he was with Rihanna, who he dated on and off from 2009 to 2016.
Judging by the amount of fun he has been having on his summer holiday though, it doesn’t look like he plans on settling down soon.

GIGI Hadid looked like a green goddess as she co-hosted the British Vogue X Self-Portrait Summer Party in London.
The American model, who has a one-year-old daughter, Khai, with her ex, former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, jetted in for the event at celebrity haunt Chiltern Firehouse on Wednesday.
Georgia May Jagger also dazzled in a cutaway black gown for the star-studded evening hosted by British Vogue Editor-In-Chief Edward Enninful.
Love Me Like You Do hitmaker Ellie Goulding was in a feathered jumpsuit as she arrrived with her art dealer husband Caspar Jopling.
And newlywed Pixie Lott looked cool in a white mini dress on the red carpet with her model husband Oliver Cheshire following their lavish wedding last month.
Ri-Ri is a £1bn big wig
WE have heard neither hide nor hair for years from Rihanna when it comes to her music.
But she will soon be becoming our mane pop girl – by launching a hair care range instead of returning to the charts.
The Love The Way You Lie singer is building on her wildly successful make-up, skincare and lingerie collections Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin and Savage X Fenty by trademarking the name Fenty Hair.
According to the documents filed in the United States, the latest line will cover extensions and wigs as well as hair bands, clips, pins, scrunchies and much more.
Although Ri-Ri has made millions as a pop star, it is her business ventures in recent years which have brought in the megabucks.
It was revealed this month that she is now America’s youngest self-made billionaire, with £1.17billion in the bank.
At only 34 she is the only self-made billionaire under 40, too.
She has been slowly working on an album ever since releasing eighth record Anti at the beginning of 2016.
But given the fortune she is making from those other ventures, I don’t blame her for putting off a comeback.
Bey's star release
BEYONCE has worked with loads of huge names but her new album might just be her most star-studded yet.
She will release her first solo record in six years, Renaissance, a week today and has teamed up with artists including Pharrell Williams and Skrillex.
They are both credited on the song Energy, while Chic disco legend Nile Rogers has worked on Cuff It.
Drake is likely to feature on her track Heated, where he has a songwriting credit, their first collaboration since Mine in 2013.
As well as contributing to lead single Break My Soul, her husband Jay-Z worked on America Has A Problem and another song called Alien Superstar, which British singer-songwriter Labrinth and US DJ Honey Dijon contributed to.
But it is the final song on the album which will be the most familiar to many music fans.
Sixteenth track Summer Renaissance samples Donna Summer's 1977 disco classic I Feel Love.
In the credits, which were released online yesterday, Donna’s name appears with producers Giorgio Moroder and Peter Bellotte, who worked on the original.
Peter, a record producer born in Hertfordshire, worked with a huge array of stars in the Seventies and Eighties.
He will have a whole new load of street cred among the younger members of his family now he can claim to have worked with Beyonce.
And I imagine the royalties he will earn from it will be pretty nice, too.
Tom's Top Pad
TOM Cruise has spent the past few years in the UK shooting the Mission: Impossible films and he must be getting to like us, as he has been shopping for a new home.
The Hollywood A-lister has been looking for a property in the posh area of Kensington, West London, as his primary residence and is willing to fork out at least £8million.
If he does decide to snap up a mansion there, he will be in good company.
Robbie Williams, Stella McCartney and Rowan Atkinson all live in the area, which is a stone’s throw from Kensington Palace.
But Tom might have to have a rethink and give up a bigger slice of his £500million fortune.
Homes in the nearby Kensington Palace Gardens cost an average of £30million – so he may have to cough up more than he bargained for.
Blazes put Ed in a jam
PEARL Jam were forced to cancel a show at the last minute after smoke from forest fires in France caused damage to singer Eddie Vedder's throat.
His vocal cords were affected after the band’s gig outside Paris, where the heatwave has sparked wildfires.
The band said in a statement: “Due to the extreme circumstances at the last outdoor site outside Paris (heat, dust, and smoke from the fires) our singer Ed Vedder’s throat was left damaged.
"He has seen doctors and had treatment but as of yet, his vocal cords have not recovered.”
The band were forced to cancel their gig in Vienna, Austria, on Wednesday, pulling out just hours before they were due on stage.
The band added: “This is brutal news and horrible timing . . . for everyone involved.
