Fans go into meltdown as Masood Ahmed unexpectedly returns to EastEnders
Nitin Ganatra is back in the role of the Square fave
FANS have gone into meltdown as EastEnders favourite Masood Ahmed returns to Albert Square.
Arriving in the late few minutes of Thursday's episode, Masood, played by Nitin Ganatra, entered his home to find his former lover Carmel Kazemi (Bonnie Langford) has moved in with her family.
"Massod has just left? What's he doing back???" said one confused viewer.
While another added: "Wasn't expecting Masood to come back #Eastenders"
Walford star Nitin, 49, announced he was to leave the long-running soap in September to explore "other roles."
His character was believed to have been travelling, but popped up with his son Kamil by his side.
Fans asked: "Has Masood flopped his whole world travel plans already?!" and "Masood's back then how awkward between him and Carmel hahaha."
Another added: "Yey! Masood's @GanatraNitin back! Just as well they didn't kill him off, as that would have been a bit tricky @bbceastenders #eastenders"
Nitin, who has been with the soap for nine years, told Radio Times last month: "After thinking long and hard, I have decided that it is time to get back out there and take on some other roles.
"I will of course miss everyone at EastEnders – I have had a brilliant time there, and who knows, one day Masood may be back."
