YOU'RE FIRED!

Lord Sugar fires his first Apprentice as Michelle Niziol gets the axe… and she’s NOT happy

The billionaire axed his first candidate but the property business owner insisted he had made a mistake

Lord Sugar has fired his first Apprentice contestant of the new series.

Businesswoman Michelle Niziol - who founded three property companies - became the first to be axed from the BBC show after failing to impress Lord Sugar as the project manager for the losing Team Nebula, but she wasn't happy about it.

After her firing, Michelle insisted she was the wrong person to go and insisted Rebecca Jeffery should have been the one to go home.

"Lord Sugar fired the wrong person, I think Rebecca should've gone instead of me," she said.

"She is out of her depth in this process. I don't think it will be too long until she's fired."

It came after Lord Sugar savaged her team's performance in the antique's selling task.

“It appears to me that I was talking to a brick wall," he told the dejected group.

"I thought I made it perfectly clear. The important thing about this is to identify what you have there and to establish some kind of pricing policy, in order to know what you can go and sell it for.

"And according to Claude, you just made it up as you went along."

It was then revealed that two of the vases Natalie sold for £15 were actually valued at £300 by the experts, with Lord Sugar joking that the buyers 'could have been arrested for looting'.

Michelle attempted to shift the blame onto her sub-team selling at the market, claiming: “I thought they were experienced enough for the girls to be able to set that pricing structure themselves.”

However, her team soon turn on her with Frances Bishop slamming her lack of leadership saying: “I think there was a sense of urgency around the market team, especially there was a lack of discipline and leadership.

"It was sort of fend for yourself and hope for the best!”

Michelle opted to bring back Rebecca and in the hope of saving herself but it didn't work.

Savaging the three candidates, he said: “Rebecca, you make a lot of claims about being a great business woman, yet you’ve demonstrated nothing to me in this particular task.

"Alana, you were in charge of the market team and the pricing was completely wrong; overlooked.

"Michelle, you claim to be a business woman and I do see you as responsible for not laying down the rules to your team

"But you Rebecca, I just don’t know whether you are the wrong type of candidate for this process.

"Michelle, it’s very easy for the finger to be pointed at you as the project manager. But having said that, I do think that there’s a lot of stuff that you are responsible for… Michelle, You’re Fired.”
