Penny Lancaster and Martine McCutcheon didn’t think those who abused children should have any rights at all.

This angered the feisty Janet Street-Porter, who hit back at their views saying: “Why not bring back the stocks and pull off their fingernails?”

When referring to Penny’s comments that convicted paedophiles who have served their sentences shouldn’t be allowed to have children, Janet snapped: “You are sounding like someone in Hitler’s Germany, who wanted to control people’s breading patterns."

Penny tried to talk over her, but Janet was determined to have her say.
The women continued to argue and talk over each other until host Ruth Langsford tried to steer the conversation in a different direction.

She then added: “I didn’t think I was sitting on the Jeremy Kyle show”.

This caused a reaction on Twitter, with one person saying: "Why are these people entitled to human rights?? What about the human rights of the children and lives they have taken?? #LooseWomen”

Another said: “My husband is in prison and I will stand by him because not everyone who is or has been in prison are bad people sorry #loosewomen”

While yet another wrote: “#loosewomen really concerned about what a reactionary society we are becoming and find myself agreeing with Janet Street Porter”
