Fleur East planning long-awaited music comeback with David Guetta
IT’S been seven years since Fleur East was last in the Top Ten with smash-hit Sax.
But now she is planning her big music comeback – with superstar DJ David Guetta.
In an exclusive interview, Fleur said: “I’ve interviewed David on Hits Radio a few times and my co-host James Barr dropped me in it and went, ‘David, Fleur can sing.’
“He went: ‘Can you DM me?’ and I sent him my Spotify.
“He came back to me and he was like, ‘Oh my God, I didn’t realise that was you? That’s crazy.’
"He said it would be great to collaborate. We’ve kept in touch so watch this space.”
While she may not have been in the recording studio lately, Fleur has still kept busy with her music.
Speaking at the launch of Ring’s NeighbourGood Cafe in Hackney, East London, Fleur added: “A lot of my music is used in TV and adverts.
“My latest song, called Confidence, is being used for a new dating show Lovestruck High on Amazon.

“But this year, I’m ready to put out my music again, I’m itching to do it now.”
I look forward to hearing what you’ve got, Fleur.
By Jupiter, that's how Ed named baby
IF you thought Ed Sheeran’s choice of name for his second daughter was a little out of this world, you certainly weren’t alone.
And if you were wondering how the British superstar and his wife Cherry Seaborn came to choose Jupiter, it turns out the reason is actually quite sweet.
An insider said: “Ed installed an observatory in the garden of their place in Suffolk and is really into star-gazing.
“Around the same time Jupiter was conceived, the planet was visible from Earth and it was a really special time.
“Ed and Cherry both thought it was apt when she fell pregnant that Jupiter should be her name.
“They love the name, both in terms of what it stands for and its uniqueness.
“Everyone thinks Jupiter works perfectly for her.
“Behind closed doors Cherry has been gushing over becoming a mum again. She and Ed really are a match made in heaven. Their family is beautiful.”
I first revealed Ed and Cherry were adding to their family again back in May, with the Shape Of You singer confirming they had given their first-born, Lyra Antarctica, a sibling.
And just as they did with Lyra, whose middle name was chosen after a trip to that continent just before she was conceived, the pair chose a moniker which meant something special to them.
Jupiter was born in May and pals told me how Ed and Cherry have been completely immersed in that amazing newborn bubble.
As a parent myself, I know how special this time is.
But with two tots under two, they are definitely going to have their hands full.
Ed is currently out on the road and last night played a second huge gig in Amsterdam but gets a week off before kicking off his next round of gigs in Belgium next Friday.
Just enough time to get back to help with the nappies for a bit.
Lily's in dreamland
MUSIC is taking a backseat for Lily Allen as she has landed herself another acting job, following her West End debut in the play 2:22 – A Ghost Story, last year.
She has been cast in a Sky Original comedy called Dreamland, due out next year, which will be her debut TV acting role.
The Smile singer has already started filming the six-part series in Margate opposite Doctor Who actress Freema Agyeman.
Lily is playing a woman who causes havoc for her family after coming back into their lives.
As someone who has caused plenty of chaos over the years, that shouldn’t be too much of a stretch.
Video's a drag for Demi
DEMI LOVATO roped in celeb pal Paris Hilton to cameo in the video to new single Substance – as well as a drag queen lookalike of herself.
The former Disney star poses on a motorbike with socialite Paris in the clip, which was released yesterday.
But the video also features a surprise appearance from drag queen Demetria Cherry, who has gone viral in the past while impersonating Demi due to their striking resemblance.
In the punchy track, the US singer – who had a near-fatal overdose in 2018 – refers to how drugs were never fulfilling.
Demi sings: “So I ask myself, ‘Am I the only one looking for substance?’. Got high, it only left me lonely and loveless.
“Don’t wanna end up in a casket, head full of maggots.”
Speaking about the track, Demi said: “I’m so excited to share another taste of what’s in store for this album.
“We can all relate to searching for something more in life, and I want this song to make you feel like you’re having a damn good time while doing it.”
It will feature on Demi’s eighth studio album Holy Fvck, out on August 19, which will include a collaboration called Freak with Doncaster-born rocker Yungblud.
Her new era is off to a strong start.
Ronan a passion killer
IT’S no wonder RONAN KEATING’s son Jack had to go on Love Island to search for romance – he was left mortified when he found someone closer to home.
The lad has vowed never to bring a girl back to his family pad again after admitting his pop star father overheard him having noisy sex.
Jack, who entered Casa Amor but failed to find love and is now back living with his dad again, said: “I’m never bringing a girl back to the house again – not after last time.”
On his Magic Radio breakfast show Ronan said: “I woke up in the middle of the night because Cooper, our five year old, is awake. So I put him back to bed.
“I’m lying there with Coops just to settle him and I hear noise coming from one of the other bedrooms. Loud screaming.
“I had to text Jack to say, ‘Son, do you think you could keep it down. Ask her to be a little more quiet’.”
Sam's got movie plan
HE played his biggest headline show to date at London’s Finsbury Park last night, and now Sam Fender is dreaming about his meteoric rise being made into a big-screen biopic.
The Seventeen Going Under singer reckons his rags to riches story would make the perfect movie and already knows who he would want to play him.
Sam said: Who would I want, compared to who would actually play us, is probably very different.“I’d want that kid who stars in American Horror Story, Evan Peters. That’s who I would want to play me, but I’m not that cool or sexy.
"I’d want him playing me because he’s got that kind of dead look behind his eyes that I’ve got . . .
“In reality they’d probably get Michael Cera.”
While Sam’s still a bit young for a Bohemian Rhapsody-style movie, a story about his rise to the top wouldn’t be boring.
James reveals Mick's trick
MICK JAGGER can still run around the stage and sing at 78, and now I know how he does it.
James Bay, who supported the Rolling Stones on tour in 2018, has told how Mick does two-hour workouts before his concerts because he believes it helps his voice.
Recalling his experience backstage at one of the shows, James said: “I was waiting around and there’s this 6ft curtain wall with loud Kanye West music blasting out and someone shouting.
“I’m sort of thinking, ‘What is going on here?’
“One of their touring photographers said, ‘That’s Mick. He’s just working out. He has a personal trainer and does two hours before every show. He does sprints, he does serious cardio.
“He is on his way to 80 and you would never ever guess it’.
“Apparently, it really helps his voice every night.”
Now James does cardio before all his shows, too – but his sessions aren’t quite as intense as Mick’s.
He told the Straight Up podcast: “I said, ‘Well, I’ve got to give it a shot’.
“I’m not in large stadiums so I didn’t get the running track and personal trainer, but I did get a table tennis table.”
Bella's boots are hot stuff
TEMPERATURES are soaring but Bella Hadid is knit fussed.
She wore thick woolly socks with these boots to support half-sister Alana at an event for her fashion brand La Detresse in New York.
As if her footwear wasn’t warm enough in the 30C heat, she layered up with a leather jacket over her minidress.
Bella is usually seen hanging out with her model siblings Gigi and Anwar.

But Alana comes from her dad Mohammed’s first marriage, before he met Bella’s mum Yolanda.
Working in fashion must run in the genes for these kids.
