Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby reveal the secrets behind their on-screen friendship

PHILLIP Schofield and Holly Willoughby really are the best of friends - insisting they have NEVER had a row.

The This Morning presenters appeared on Wednesday's Loose Women to discuss their relationship both on and off screen, and delighted fans of the show by revealing their close friendship is 100 per cent genuine.

Phillip said: "I can honestly say hand on heart we have never had a row," before joking: "She's pushed me she's just never pushed me that far."

Holly added: "I think the fact we have to work together, we do so many hours together, then the fact when we’re off in the summer, we spend a lot of time together, we just get on so well, we think the same way."

The pair were pictured holidaying together over the summer, wearing matching T-shirts declaring their love for each other to mimic Tom Hiddleswift's Taylor Swift T-shirt at her 4th of July party during their short-lived romance.

And despite working on This Morning together, as well as the early series' of Dancing on Ice, Phillip said they don't always 'talk shop'.

He said: "When we’re on holiday, if we go out for dinner we don’t talk about work, you end up talking about families and other stuff, so you do keep it separate.

"We're lucky that our partners get on so well too."

Holly said: "We have been doing This Morning for seven years, but we did Dancing on Ice before that for about four years so it's a long time, like 10 years."

The Loose Women then showed a clip on the screen behind the desk of Holly's first day on the set of the ITV show with Phill.

While Holly looked as resplendent as ever in a figure-hugging white dress, Phillip looked super smart in a shirt and jacket.

He laughed: "The phase where I wore a jacket."

Coleen Nolan joked: "In the days when you cared, you actually look younger now.

As Holly continued to watch the footage, Phillip replied: "Do you think? Well I've lost a bit of weight."
