How can I watch shows on Sky Atlantic, Sky One and Sky Arts if I don’t have a Sky subscription?

While the allure of popular shows like Game of Thrones and Walking Dead can be attractive, the expensive contract can be off-putting, but is there another way?
Can I watch Sky TV on Now TV?
Sky makes almost all its content available over the internet on a service it calls Now TV.
For £6.99, you can get a month's pass.
Sky will supply you with a Now TV box or you can stream the content through your games console or tablet if you have one.
All of Sky's top content is available on Now TV on the day it is broadcast which includes Sky Atlantic.
The good thing about Now TV is that that you can unsubscribe any time you like and just pay a rolling monthly contract.

Can I watch Sky TV on Virgin Media or TalkTalk?
If you have a TV subscription with a provider other than Sky, this doesn't mean that you can't still access Sky.
Many of the channels can be added onto your current service.
To do this, you have to sign up for a "bolt on", which adds the new channels onto your existing service.
Unfortunately Sky Atlantic is not available on BT TV, TalkTalk or Virgin Media.
