Claire Foy’s ‘stalker’ emailed her 1,000 times a month and turned up at her frontdoor, court hears
CLAIRE Foy’s alleged stalker turned up at her home and constantly rang her bell — after sending her 1,000 emails in a month, a court heard.
Jason Penrose, 39, first contacted The Crown actress in August to ask her to be in a film he was writing, it was said.
In December he started repeatedly emailing, with some telling of rape and how he wanted her to be his girlfriend, Highbury magistrates court heard.
Foy called police when Penrose arrived at her home, having found it through online research.
He had also contacted her sister and agent, the court heard.
JPs heard Penrose suffered from mental illness but should soon be ready to be discharged from treatment.

An interim stalking prevention order due to expire next month was extended and the case adjourned to July 22.
It bans him from attending the homes and workplaces of Foy and her agent Emma Jackson.
Magistrate Dave Jenkin told Penrose: “We do not want you to harass or stalk either of the alleged victims in the case.”
