Katie Price ‘relieved’ she swerved prison over explicit texts as friends say ‘she feels like a weight has been lifted’
KATIE Price is "relieved" that she swerved prison following an "offensive and inflammatory" text message she sent to her ex-husband Kieran Hayler.
The former glamour model avoided jail after breaching a restraining order blocking contact with her ex-husband Kieran's fiancee Michelle Penticost.
The 44-year-old was handed an 18-month community order to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work - with an additional 20 hours for breach of a suspended sentence for driving matters.
Price showed no emotion as the verdict was announced but gave a brief smile as she left the dock.
She pleaded guilty last month to breaching a restraining order and appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Friday morning for sentencing.
The reality TV star and mother-of-five sent a text message to ex Kieran describing his fiancee as a "gutter s***" and "c*****g w****".

Since the verdict, a close friend revealed to that Katie "knows what she did was wrong" and was "petrified" of going to prison.
“She was is extremely relieved to have escaped a jail sentence and she feels as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders," they revealed.
“Katie knows what she did was wrong. She feels huge remorse for her actions and couldn’t bear the idea of being taken away from her children. The idea of going to jail petrified her.
“Katie is learning to deal with her emotions and become a better person. She is an extremely emotional person.”
The court heard how Katie told Kieran: “Tell your c***ing wh*** piece of s*** girlfriend not to start on me - she has a restraining order so shouldn't try to antagonise as she is in breach.
“I am sure she doesn't want people knowing she was having an affair with you behind my back the gutter s**g.”
Before the court hearing, Katie was caught up in an exchange with a reporter.
As she made her way into court, wearing a green jumpsuit and oversized sunglasses, Katie was asked if she would be going to prison today.
Katie was the heard to say “suck my d**k” as she made her way past the group.
