The singer got carried away with his jive and ended up needing medical attention.
WILL Young became the first official injury of this year's Strictly Come Dancing after pulling a muscle mid-routine on tonight's live show.
The Leave Right Now singer and professional Karen Clifton were performing a hyperactive rendition of Rock and Roll classic Rock Around The Clock.
However, after performing the routine, Will doubled over in pain and announced to presenter Tess Daly he had pulled muscle.
Worried Tess asked if he needed medical attention, to which he originally said yes - but then he changed his mind and decided to wait until deliberations and scores were handed out before he sought help.
However, despite Will's injury, the couple achieved a respectable fourth place on tonight's leaderboard - bagging 27 points for their energetic performance.
Will was taken to get medical help and wasn't seen on screen again for the remainder of the episode.
Karen later tweeted praise for her injured dance partner, and said: "Super proud of @willyoung .. smashed the jive and kept going like a true pro!! Love that fight in him"
Saturday night's episode of the show was not short of it's break out moments - starting only two dances in when judge Bruno Tonioli laid into fellow judge Craig Revel-Horwood and declared his judgement of Olympian Claudia Fragapane's dance with partner AJ "b*****ks".
Tess Daly later had to apologise for the star's sweary outburst which occurred before the watershed.
Greg Rutherford also sent the judges pulses racing following his routine - with the playful judges being won over by his "attractive" bum more than they were his performance.
However, Ed Balls was left hanging on to his place on the BBC1 show after coming in last for his Charleston to The Banjo's back in town by Alma Cogan.
The energetic dance routine brought out the playful side of the former Chancellor, and was a fan favourite of tonight's show - but earned the lowest points from the judges.
