EastEnders fans outraged on behalf of Dot Branning as she is SACKED from launderette
Heartbreak as Albert Square's long-standing shirt washer is given the boot
POOR Dot Branning, EastEnders fans were left devastated as the Albert Square stalwart was told that she was she was losing her beloved job at the launderette.
After first finding out that the business was to become a dry cleaners, Dot (June Brown) was then told that she would have to reapply for the post that she had held for years.
However the interview didn't go well and Dot was told that she was to be let go.
She looked looked shell-shocked when told by the apologetic interviewer: "We just can't offer you a position once the refurbishment takes place."
Dot responded: "If you don't mind, I've got to get supper for my granddaughter Abi because she works late and I like to have it ready for her when she gets in," Dot mutters as she turns to rush away.
"If you'll excuse me…"
It was all too much for viewers who took to Twitter to champion the hashtag "Justice for Dot".
Kicking things off on Twitter, @SPALL40 declared: “DON’T SACK DOT.”
Agreeing, @Antogal15 tweeted: “If any1 does anything 2day the 1st thing to do is #JusticeForDot woman slaved for years cleaning all the dirty shanks of walfords undies.”
