Coronation Street star Shayne Ward becomes a dad again – but the gender isn’t what they expected
EX Corrie star Shayne Ward has become a dad again - but there's a twist.
The X Factor winner, 37, and his fiance Sophie Austin, 38, welcomed their second child - but the gender wasn't what they expected.
Shayne and former Hollyoaks star Sophie, who are already parents to Willow May, five, announced the news on his instagram this afternoon.
The Mancunian posted an adorable picture of everyone's hands from his new family of four piled on top of each other.
He revealed that the new arrival came on Saturday, but there was a surprise in store after they were originally given the wrong information about the gender.
Shayne captioned the snap: "And then there were Four!
11/06/22 we had a HUGE surprise! Not a baby girl we were expecting but a beautiful baby Boy. We are so overjoyed and blessed that sir baby Ward has arrived. 💙"

Fans rushed to congratulate the Ward family.
"How exciting for you all. Perfect little family. Congratulations xx" commented one follower.
A second added: "Awwwww how lovely! Congratulations to you and well done Sophie 💛💛💛👑"
And a third wrote: "Congratulations ❤️❤️ that’s happened to me was supposed to b having a boy then had a girl."

In January, Shayne revealed he was going to be a dad for the second time.
Speaking to Shayne said: “I would always say to Sophie: ‘I know in my gut and in my heart of hearts that we are going to have more children.’
“There was no two ways about it. We never gave up. It’s been a whirlwind.
“And 16 years after I appeared on The X Factor, I have a beautiful family and one on the way. I am on cloud nine. It’s amazing that we’re going to have another girl to add to the Ward clan.”
The couple initially tried to conceive through IVF, and Sophie admitted the process took its toll on her mental health.

She said: "I’ve never felt so depressed and low in my whole life."
Sophie credited Shayne's positivity for helping her get through it and eventually she fell pregnant naturally.
