Cole started out by posting lip-sync videos on TikTok, catching the attention of well-known celebrities including Ricky Gervais who ended up casting him in Netflix After Life.

Who is Cole Anderson James?
Cole is a British YouTuber, social media personality, and actor.
Born May 10, 1997 the Youtuber was raised in Colchester, Essex.
Cole studied Film and Television Studies which he is now putting into practice.
Before acting and internet fame, Cole was working in sales.

Losing his job during the Covid-19 pandemic was what pushed Cole to tap into his creative side.
In 2020, he began posting his clips to YouTube and TikTok, resulting in him earning more than a million followers.
The social media star keeps his fans updated with his funny videos but also with what he gets up to with his new found fame.
As well as using TikTok, he regularly posts to Instagram where he keeps his followers up-to-date with his life and career.

Speaking on his experience of redundancy, Cole reported that it was one of the best things to happen to him.
"I got made redundant and it was probably one of the best things that has actually happened to me because I had way more time to spend doing the videos," he said.

Cole describes himself as "just a relatively nice guy" in his TikTok bio.
The star shares a variety of different clips including lip syncs and funny sketches of himself.
Cole plays different characters that include role playing teachers, bouncers and parents to create relatable scenes that his fans can resonate with.
Acting out relatable scenarios has earned him millions of followers across all his social media accounts.
Cole posts multiple times a week, at times touching on trending topics in the news to keep his followers engaged.

Was Cole Anderson James in After Life?
Cole managed to catch the eye of Ricky Gervais who asked him to star in his hit Netflix series After Life.
He was uploading lip sync clips to The Office, which was also created by Ricky, which landed him a role in the third series of After Life.
Followers started to tag Ricky in Cole's videos which quickly got him noticed.
Comedian Emily Atack spotted Cole and asked him to be in her show, The Emily Atack Show, as well as helping him get an agent.
Cole then plucked up the courage to message Ricky and ask if he could audition for the next series of After Life, and he went on to nail it.
Cole hopes that eventually he will be able to do full time comedy acting.
What else has Cole Anderson James starred in?
As well as starring alongside Ricky Gervais in the After Life, the comedic TikToker has also starred in the 2022 TV series, Murder They Hope, with actress Sian Gibson.
In 2024, Cole featured in a comedy film called Sideman: Death Core Collection alongside other well-known Youtubers like KSI, Harry Lewis and Ethan Payne.
The YouTube group 'The Sidemen' paid a visit to Osea Island in Ultimate Hide & Seek: On an Island.
