DAME Emma Thompson is known for some stellar performances on the silver screen, morphing into new characters with ease.
In the new trailer for Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical, the British actress looks worlds away from her usual appearance.
From Nanny McPhee in 2005 to Disney's Cruella in 2021, Emma Thompson has some impressive cinema credits on her resume.
Many Harry Potter fans would also be surprised to remember she was handed the role of Professor Sybill Trelawney in the saga based on J.K. Rowling's novels.
But in true chameleon fashion, as Emma is reputed for her radical transformations for her roles, the actress will be appearing in Netflix's Matilda The Musical as the much feared headteacher Miss Trunchbull.
The 63-year-old is thus included in a brand new trailer for the musical movie, released on Wednesday - and looks unrecognisable.

The cast also includes Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough, who will play Matilda's parents, and James Bond star Lashana Lynch aka Miss Honey.
Netflix's Mathilda is the cinematic version of the Tim Minchin and Dennis Kelly successful musical, based on Roald Dahl's book of the same name.
