Mel B and Emma Bunton reveal Spice Girls reunited for karaoke-fuelled road trip to Malibu
Stars began plotting comeback while doing karaoke to Wannabe on the highway
THE SPICE GIRLS have been teasing their reunion for over a year and now it’s happened — on the Pacific Coast Highway.
MEL B and EMMA BUNTON got back together in Malibu last month, and started prepping for their comeback in the car on the journey there.
They celebrated the 20th anniversary of their smash hit Wannabe by performing it together in the front seat, for the first time since they sang it atop five black cabs at the iconic London 2012 closing ceremony.
I caught up with the girls in Malibu, where they were helping out SIMON COWELL at his X Factor Judges’ House auditions.
Speaking during a break from filming at Simon’s luxury pad, Mel told me: “We do karaoke in my car. We did listen to Wannabe on the way up here. I have mics in my car and my driver is very, very sweet.
"I love performing. We all love performing.”
Emma was over the moon to be back with Mel, and added: “It’s so nice, because there’s an energy.
“I think it’s because we adore each other and we laugh and we know each other so well, it’s just electric.”

I was first to reveal the real Spice reunion last year, and broke the news of MEL C and VICTORIA BECKHAM both dropping out.
But Scary and Baby are still on board with GERI HORNER despite her missing the Malibu rehearsal.
Carpool Karaoke will be a doddle when they do finally get together as a trio.
