Narstie Switch-Up

Former Bros singer Matt Goss trades in brother Luke for rapper Big Narstie for surprise new track

80s heart-throb made pals with the unlikely collaborator for a grimy new tune

EIGHTIES heartbreaker MATT GOSS has substituted his twin for another brother.

The BROS star has linked up with UK rapper BIG NARSTIE in a bid to breakthrough in the world of hip hop.

I can reveal the crooner recorded a grimy new tune with the MC this week after being approached by the founders of hip hop THE SUGARHILL GANG who facilitated the unlikely collaboration.

Matt said: “I’ve done a tune with Big Narstie. The Sugarhill Gang, the godfathers of hip hop, called me on Monday.

“It was a bit like my friendship with REGGIE KRAY – I just got this phone call out of nowhere and now we’ve got this amazing record.”

Gossy’s new direction comes as he makes his huge comeback to the UK to play his first solo concert here in three years, performing new tune Gone Too Long at Wembley’s SSE ARENA tonight.

The big date marks the end his mammoth six-year Las Vegas residency, playing 250 shows a year in his very own The Gossy Room at Caesar’s Palace, which came to an end last weekend.

He carved out a new career as one of the strip’s most successful performers after a rocky relationship with twin LUKE GOSS saw the end the When Will I Be Famous hitmakers, Bros, 25 years ago.

Now, Matt is in fresh talks to sign a big money deal with a new casino for an even bigger 10-year residency.

He reveals for the first time: “I’ll tell you – I’m talking to the MGM for a 10-year run. They’ve come to me and they’re an amazing company.

“I want to get ADELE there too, in the T-Mobile room. I love her voice. I love what she does –whether she does a residency or not I think she should play there.”

But one big-money deal he won’t be doing is joining fellow boy band star GARY BARLOW on his new talent show Let It Shine after revealing he shut down early talks to get him on board.

He said: “I had a phone call about that. I’d move back to the UK for something like that, but the timing wasn’t right. I’d like to do The Voice.”

In the end, Gary opted for SPANDAU BALLET twin MARTIN KEMP to join him on the line-up alongside DANNII MINOGUE and AMBER RILEY on the BBC1 show that will find the stars of a new Take That musical.

Despite being one of pop’s biggest pin-ups, Matt - who is 47 - has admitted he is still single and wouldn’t rule out turning to online dating to find The One.

He added: “I want it all. I want to find the right woman and get married and make love all over the world, everywhere, every movie theatre, every restaurant, every car, every venue.

“I haven’t tried Tinder, but I’m not opposed to online dating. Sometimes, you just think where am I going to meet someone, I’m on a plane.”

He’ll need a good-working wi-fi single to find The One up there.

Matt's new single Gone Too Long is out on Sunday.
