Here’s the first glimpse of stars Domhnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie in upcoming A.A. Milne biopic
The film uncovers the Winnie the Pooh author's climb to fame
NOW that shooting has begun, we've finally been given the first glimpse of the forthcoming A.A. Milne biopic, starring Domhnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie.
The film charts the Winnie the Pooh creator's rise to fame during post-war Britain and also offers an insight into his relationship with his son Christopher Robin (played by Will Tilston), who inspired the classic children's tales.
While About Time's Gleeson stars as the legendary author, Robbie plays his wife Daphne.
They are joined too by Stephen Campbell Moore, Alex Lawther and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who recently starred in BBC comedy Fleabag.
Meanwhile Simon Curtis, who worked on My Week With Marilyn, is directing the production and Frank Cottrell Boyce has penned the script.
The film is yet to be given a name, but rumours suggest it could be given the title Goodbye Christopher Robin.
Even before filming started, Gleeson had a lot to live up to as he was tipped to win an Oscar for his performance.
The actor, 33, starred in notable films Brooklyn, The Revenant and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which received 19 Oscar nominations between them in 2016.
"As an actor, I've just gotten insanely lucky," he said last year.
Let's hope his luck continues.
