‘She can’t move on’ EastEnders actress Lin Blakley says Pam jeopardises Paul’s trial by meeting his killer’s mum

  • Has Pam ruined any chance of justice?
  • Steven's got it in for poor Jane!
  • Could Babe have finally run out of luck?
  • Lee Gives Whitney a special gift for her hen party

Pam knows getting in touch with Diane, the mum of one of Paul’s killers, could wreck any chance of her and Les getting justice for Paul. But she can’t resist when Diane sends a message asking to meet up.

“There’s a part of Pam that thinks it’s for the best that they haven’t met again because it gives her and Les a chance to move on,” says Lin Blakley, who plays the florist.

Kathy and Pam wait anxiously for Diane, but will they regret their actions?

“But inside she’s thinking: ‘No, I can’t move on.’ She needs to say to this woman: ‘Do you realise what your son has done? He’s taken away my grandson in the most horrific way.’”

Honey tries to discourage Pam, but to no avail, so Kathy accompanies her to the café rendezvous.

When Diane shows up, Pam wastes no time in asking if she had any idea what her darling son was really like.

“Pam wants to know what he was like as a child,” adds Lin. “Was there something in him that triggered off what he would get into later in life? What possessed him to do this?”

Pam arrives home to find Ben with Les who are not going to be impressed with what she’s been up to

There are no easy answers, and when Les and Ben find out what Pam’s done, they are both furious.

“They don’t want the case to be jeopardised,” says Lin. “The solicitor has told them not to go anywhere near the boys or their families.

Pam and Les don’t want there to be a big court case where everything is dragged up again. They’re praying that Paul’s killers say they are guilty.”

But will they? And if not, can Pam live with her own guilt if they get away with murder because of her?

BABE’S LAST STAND?
There must be cats that are envious of the number of lives Babe possesses.

BBC
Is this the end of Babe’s nine lives?

Despite being pretty much the dictionary definition of a nasty piece of work, she has somehow managed to cling on by her talons to her place at The Vic.

Linda, though, has had enough, and makes it clear that the only way she’ll be allowed to stick around is if she gives back all the money she blackmailed from Les and Pam.

When Babe gets distracted by Lee asking if she’ll help mend a dress for Whitney, Linda thinks she’s avoiding going to the bank and chucks her out.

Has Babe run out of luck?

STEVEN’S GOT IT IN FOR JANE

You’ve got to feel for Jane. Bobby doesn’t want to see her and she’s stuck in a wheelchair being mithered over by Ian.

How will Ian react to Steven’s comments?

No wonder she was pleased to see bad boy (and old flame) Grant turn up. An offer from Stacey to have a makeover at Elysium (we still prefer its original name, Asylum) raises her spirits, but a drink in

The Vic with Carmel ends up being truly mortifying. She pleads with Ian that she just wants them to get back to being a normal couple, and he asks her to help out
at Beales.

But when Steven tries to shut things down by suggesting her wheelchair is getting in the way, it seems there’s more trouble ahead…
