Robbie Williams replaces friend Alan Carr’s voice on his comeback single
The pop star cut the comedian from the track and used a female voice instead
MYSELF and every other ROBBIE WILLIAMS fan were hugely excited for comeback single Heavy Entertainment Show on Sunday.
So was ALAN CARR — until he heard it.
I’ve discovered that Brit comic Alan - one of Robbie’s good pals - was supposed to feature on the track after recording a special vocal.
But he was gutted to find out his part had been replaced by a sultry female voice instead.
My source revealed: “Alan and Robbie have been mates for years and Rob had this idea to get him to sing on the new record.
“The song is about light entertainment so he thought Alan would be perfect for it.
“Robbie invited him into the studio in London earlier this year to record his line and it was on the track.
“But at the last minute he made the decision to drop the recording and replace him with a girl’s voice.
“Thankfully Alan took it all in good humour.”
Alan and Robbie share a mutual friend in ADELE and have become mates as a result.
The line he was supposed to do comes towards the end of the track, where a breathy woman mutters: “He’ll give it all, and a little bit more.”
Rob’s got a lot of making up to do.
