'DADDY'S FAMOUS?'

Peter Andre’s rarely-seen son Theo, 5, ‘finds it weird’ his dad is famous, says mum Emily

PETER Andre’s wife Emily has revealed their rarely-seen son "finds it weird" his dad is famous.

The NHS doctor, 32, admitted five-year-old Theo, was confused when he kept hearing people refer to his dad as Peter Andre – because their surname is in fact Andrea.

Speaking to this week's she talked about how her son handles his daddy's fame.

She said: "They do understand what their dad does for a living, but at the same time it’s a weird concept for them.

"I understand that as it’s a weird concept for me too sometimes. To me he’s just Pete!

"Sometimes Theo says, 'People call Daddy Peter Andre. Why do they do that?' which always makes us laugh."

Emily previously told The Sun how Emelia had reacted in this way to Pete's stage name.

Speaking about the moment, she said: “Probably about a year or so ago Millie goes ‘dad, why are those people calling you Peter Andre?’, it’s really weird that people talk about him with his first name and surname, which as far as she knows isn’t even our surname, our surname is actually Andrea.

“We had to have a slightly weird conversation about how some people know who daddy is because he writes songs and he goes on TV sometimes.

“She gets it now and occasionally it comes up at school, someone will say ‘oh I saw your dad on YouTube or something.  It’s such a weird concept.”

As well as being a mum to Theo and Amelia, and step children Princess and Junior and being a doctor, Emily is gearing up to release her second book - Growing Up For Boys, following the success of debut book Growing Up For Girls.

And Emily can’t quite believe she’s doing it for a second time, telling us: “I still find it hard to get my head around sometimes that anyone would buy a book that I had written. I find it incredibly touching and I feel so grateful.”

The book is aimed at 9-11 year olds and will help them navigate the changes and pressures of puberty.
