Ex on the Beach’s Jemma Lucy sparks outrage after road rage Snapchat videos behind the wheel of her car
Road safety charity Brake have slammed the star after she filmed for her social media page while driving
CONTROVERSIAL Ex on the Beach star Jemma Lucy has sparked outrage among road safety charities - after illegally posting a series of road rage Snapchats while behind the wheel.
MTV fans are set to see Jemma booted from Ex on the Beach during tonight’s episode at 10pm after a vicious catfight with Kayleigh Morris over hunk Ashley Cain.
And the telly star hasn’t stopped causing controversy since arriving home from the Thailand villa – as she went on an explicit tirade and threatened another driver on her Snapchat account yesterday.
While driving along in her car, which was not stationary at the time, she was seen hurling abuse at another driver who was in front of her.
She blasted: "People are real c***s like this guy who won't move.
“Wave to my snapchat you little c***. The moral of this story is I always get my own way - that's it move your s*** Toyota back.”
She later blasted: “I was polite to start with but then the little c*** tried to test my patience.
“Do you want to get on my snapchat again you little c***? What the actual f*** is this guy doing? He actually has no idea how to drive.”
Despite this, Jemma claims she was stationary at the time.
She told the Sun: "I'm sorry if this looked like I was Snapchatting whilst driving i would like to make it clear that at this time I was not driving I was stationary. Please don't ever use your phone whilst driving it's really dangerous."
But road safety charities have now hit out at the star for promoting “distracted driving” and sending a “really bad message” to her droves of young fans.
Jack Kushner, spokesperson for Brake, a road safety charity, slammed: “Distracted driving is a growing menace, and selfishly using a mobile device behind the wheel is incredibly dangerous.
“It is concerning to see Jemma using Snapchat whilst driving – research shows that using a phone behind the wheel affects reaction times as much as drink driving.
“Jemma’s not only putting herself and other road users in danger, but also sending a really bad message to her young fans.”
Jack later went on to plead Jemma to ensure she sets a positive example to her fans in the future.
He added: “Using a mobile at the wheel increases your risk of being involved in a crash and seriously injuring or killing yourself or other road users, and it’s vital that public figures like Jemma set a positive example of safe driving behaviour.”
It’s not the first time the heavily tattooed-star has caused controversy over a social media video.
In May, she sparked outrage online after sharing a video of her lighting a cigarette with an aerosol can.
She also recently posted a nude Snapchat in bed with rumoured new boyfriend and Big Brother champ Stephen Bear earlier this month.
