Coleen Rooney’s Wagatha Christie ‘sting’ portfolio revealed – as Rebekah Vardy & Jamie label her ‘Mrs Manager’
THE Wagatha Christie files were released in full yesterday — and included a leaked picture of Wayne Rooney with his children that sparked wife Coleen’s Scousetrap investigation.
Other files among the 300 pages of evidence released by libel lawyers included messages between Rebekah Vardy and husband Jamie describing Coleen as Mrs Manager.
And there was also a picture of Coleen at Soho Farmhouse, in the Cotswolds, riding a bike while holding a bottle of booze — posted privately but leaked to the Press.
But it was Coleen’s picture of Wayne, 36, and three of his children — also posted on her private Instagram account but later leaked to the Press — that sparked her hunt for a mole.
The image showed the ex- England player and Kai, Klay and Kit in matching polka dot pyjamas.
Coleen told London’s High Court it was taken after they had split up when he was caught drink-driving with a party girl in her car in 2017.

She said they were on the brink of divorce, adding: “I didn’t know how my marriage was going to work out.
“We needed to work it out. I was spending a lot of time at my parents’ house but there was speculation I had moved back into the house.
“Me and Wayne were trying to figure out our relationship and see where things were going but I didn’t want the public to know that. I hadn’t settled on ‘this is it — we’re getting back together’.”
Coleen posted a picture of herself with the children to her public Instagram account.
The picture of Wayne and the children was posted to her private account — but still ended up being passed to the Press.
It prompted Coleen to fire off her “1st Warning Shot”, writing on her account: “The GRASS strikes again!!!….Your (sic) accepted as one of my friends.
“If you really needed the money that bad you could have always just asked instead of being SLY!!!”
The picture itself never made it into print but it led to speculation that she had forgiven her husband.
The leaks continued and in January 2019 Coleen fired off her “2nd Warning Shot”, fuming: “It’s sad to think someone, who I have accepted to follow me, is betraying me for either money or to keep a relationship with the Press.”
Coleen decided to plant fake stories on her private Instagram account and limited those who could see them to just one account, in a ploy that became known as the Scousetrap.
In October 2019 she went online and told her millions of followers “It’s . . . Rebekah Vardy’s account.”
WAGS AT WAR
She told the libel trial she never expected the post to go viral — or that it would end up in court.
Coleen said: “I have no doubt that this litigation, whatever the outcome, will benefit neither Becky nor myself.
“I have never been in a court. I have never been in a legal case before. I was upset that my personal information was being passed on to a newspaper.
“At the time I didn’t have a clue who was doing this to me.
“”I have put up with it for years but this was different. This was someone I accepted into my personal space and they were going on to a national newspaper that goes out to millions and giving my information without my consent.
“It killed me not telling anyone about it but I managed it.”

Mum-of-five Rebekah — wife of Leicester City striker Jamie — launched legal action.
But in a series of disclosures, WhatsApp messages between Rebekah, 40, and agent pal Caroline Watt revealed her true feelings towards Coleen, who was called a “c***” and “a stupid cow”.
Other messages between her and Jamie, 35, were revealed for the first time yesterday and showed she called Coleen “Mrs Manager”.
It came after reports that during England’s abysmal Euro2016 campaign, captain Rooney had been asked by then-manager Roy Hodgson to have a word with Vardy about his wife’s media activities.
The details made the press and Rebekah messaged Jamie with a link, saying: “Jesus . . . This must have come from somewhere! Bet it’s his Mrs manager.”
Rebekah denies leaking stories and is seeking substantial damages. The case closed on Thursday, with Rebekah branded a “highly unreliable” witness and accused of lying under oath.

Her lawyers said she brought the claim to try to be vindicated and maintained she was not the culprit.
A judgment will be delivered at a later date.
