Little Mix’s Jade reveals boyfriend Jordan Stephens made them change their name

LITTLE Mix’s Jade Thirlwall has admitted her Rizzle Kicks boyfriend Jordan Stephens convinced the band to change their name.

The 29-year-old made the shock confession on stage as the band hosted a private bash at The London Reign on Sunday to celebrate the end of their Confetti tour before heading on their hiatus.

Jade took to the mic and responded to a guest who shouted ‘Rhythix’, explaining: "Shout out to my boyfriend who made us actually change our name in 2011. It was his fault, yeah!”

The band, which formed on The X Factor in 2011, changed their name after a Brighton-based charity named Rhythmix, which provides music opportunities for young people, threatened legal action.

Jade also vowed the band were 'stronger than ever' with the party featuring performances of Little Mix's greatest hits by three drag queens which included their 2017 track Power.

“No amount of songs could possibly explain how thankful we are for everybody here tonight," Jade added.
