Carol Vorderman looks completely different in throwback photo in surprise meeting with Mylene Klass
MYLEENE Klass has opened up on the sweet moment she first met Carol Vorderman as a child – and shared a set of throwback snaps.
The former Hear’Say singer, 44, told how she made a working Ferris Wheel out of paper as part of an engineering challenge.
When she scooped top place, she was whisked down to London wearing a brand new bolero she bought for the day.
Myleene, who wore a baseball cap, gold chains and a crop top for her Instagram Live chat with the ex Countdown host, 61, gushed: “I travelled all the way down to London to meet you, I might as well have won the lottery.
“We had a photo taken and I was obsessed with it. Absolutely obsessed with it, seeing a female engineer who could do all these incredible things.”
Their adorable throwback image saw Myleene – unrecognisable in a black jumper and flowing pink skirt – proudly holding up her design to Carol.

The telly star, who is now known for her racy skin-fit outfits, appeared more reserved in a glam striped blazer and black trousers.
She was seen squealing in excitement as she was presented with the wheel, mounted on a pretty plinth.
Myleene then wrote on her Instagram slide: “Why I love Carol.
“The original trailblazer, role model and triple threat who became my friend.”
Carol has remained passionate about maths and engineering, recently handing out huge cash bursaries to students.
She is specifically looking to help those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The grants will be given to selected UK applicants joining Swansea University this September for full-time undergraduate programmes in maths or actuarial science.
Carol, who read engineering at Cambridge University, said: “I particularly want to help students from a similar background to my own (comp and on free school meals) but these bursaries are available to all.”

She said she was inspired by her mathematics teacher to go to Cambridge.
She was one of only a few female students.
