The five-star joint boasts classy restaurants and its suites have emperor beds and handmade mattresses to aid sleep.

Guests can practise pilates on reformer machines and get a massage in the wellness and fitness centre.

A source said: “Wayne and Coleen have had a stressful week and they wanted somewhere to unwind away from the glare of the trial.

“They couldn’t travel to and from their home in Cheshire as the case starts promptly and finishes late.”

The flash accommodation is a far cry from the three-star, £60-a-night StayCity Aparthotel at Manchester’s Piccadilly rail station where Wayne, 36, spent an impromptu evening last July.

The former England and Manchester United ace nodded off after going there with three women students he met on a boozy night at a club.

He slept sat upright on a chair in the two-bed apartment and left early the next day.

The girls later apologised to the Derby County manager for posting pictures of him online.

Rebekah Vardy, 40, wife of Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, 35, is suing her for libel.

It came after Coleen accused her rival on Instagram of leaking stories about her to the Press.
