Marilyn comes face-to-face with Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter 20 years after FRIGHTENING first TV interview
The 80s musician claims she simply wouldn't let him speak
MUSICIAN Marilyn’s appearance on Monday’s Loose Women got off to an awkward start when he slammed Janet Street-Porter for being “vile”.
The 80s singer was with Boy George as he joined the ladies on the panel to discuss his new single Love or Money.
Taking his seat, Marilyn turned to the journalist and said: “You were my first TV interview – and you were vile!”
A shocked Janet responded: “I was frightened of you, you had such an attitude.”
“No, I was frightened of you,” the 53-year-old hit back.
But he went on: “Now I know that she was nervous, it makes sense.
“Because you were asking me questions, I would go to answer them and then you’d ask another one, and another one – I just thought, why am I here?”
Not taking his comments lying down, Janet, 69, quipped: “That’s what an interview is called.”
“No, that’s called a monologue,” said Marilyn.
And after over 20 years, the pair seemed happy to put the incident in the past, with Janet adding: “This is like counselling!”
The pair claimed they were both ‘frightened’
