Rebekah Vardy admits branding Danielle Lloyd a ‘nasty b***h’ in string of explosive texts

REBEKAH Vardy admitted branding fellow WAG Danielle Lloyd a "nasty b***h" in foul-mouthed messages to her agent Caroline Watt.

The mum-of-five said the spat was "private" as she took the stand on the second day of the bombshell Wagatha Christie trial.

But she told a High Court judge she had hit out in a WhatsApp conversation after Miss Watt said of Danielle: "She's trash."

The 40-year-old replied: "I've taken a big dislike to her.

"She thinks she's amazing. Would love to leak those stories."

Asked today which stories she was referring to, she replied: "They were gossip stories I'd heard from her ex husband."

Danielle is the former wife of ex Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O'Hara.

Rebekah defiantly told the court she hadn't done anything wrong - and vehemently denied leaking a story about Danielle's tragic miscarriage.

"That wasn't over a public spat. That was a private conversation," she said.

"She wasn't someone who was in my circle. She sent me a few irritated messages. I wouldn't even say they were irritated."

Coleen's barrister has alleged Rebekah and Miss Watt had attempted to leak information about a pregnant woman who went on honeymoon to the Maldives, but later miscarried.

Rebekah denied this, and said she and Danielle hadn't had a "major beef" but "more of a disagreement" over whether it's ethical to choose a baby's gender.

Becky's legal team have already submitted documents denying allegations she leaked news of Danielle's pregnancy as "revenge".

Her lawyers branded the claims "absurd".

There's no love lost on Danielle's side either, it's understood. She called Rebekah a "rat" in private Instagram messages to Coleen Rooney, court docs show.

Today's bombshell claims come as Rebekah desperately tries to defend herself against Coleen's allegations that she leaked "false stories" about her to the media.

On the second day of the explosive trial, she has faced a slew of allegations that she leaked or considered leaking stories.

And she wept on the stand as she told a judge of the abuse she's suffered at the hands of evil trolls who threatened to rape her baby daughter.

The court has heard today:

  • Rebekah Vardy allegedly instructed her agent Caroline Watt to leak a story about a high-profile celebrity's affair with a footballer
  • She appeared to suggest Miss Watt should leak information about Riyad Mahrez failing to turn up to Leicester City training in 2018
  • Becky also admitted she'd tried to talk to journalists about drink-driving Premier League ace Danny Drinkwater
  • And she branded Coleen Rooney a "c***" after Miss Watt saw she'd stopped following her on Instagram
  • Becky also hit out at Danielle Lloyd in another message to Miss Watt, blasting: "I've taken a big dislike to her"

In one message to Miss Watt, she appears to suggest she would reveal information about a "well-known celebrity" - identified only as Mrs F - who was cheating on her husband with a "high-profile" footballer.

In a separate conversation from 2018, the women discussed Riyad Mahrez's failure to turn up for training at Leicester City for the second day in a row.

At that time, the Premier League ace was the teammate of Becky's husband Jamie Vardy.

Miss Watt suggested she leak the information on the player to Sky News before Becky replied: "Just don't want it coming back to me."

David Sherborne, acting for Coleen, alleges the string of damning WhatsApp exchanges shows she was prepared to give stories to the press.

WAGS AT WAR

But Rebekah, who also admitted that she'd considered contacting journalists over Danny Drinkwater's drink-drive arrest, denied that it was "standard practice" for her to leak private information via her agent.

In the case of Mr Mahrez, she said she was "gossiping", and when asked about the love triangle, she defended the comments as a joke.

The court heard Miss Watt is not fit to give oral evidence to the trial, and will not be quizzed.

However, she is likely the "conduit" for the alleged leaks, it was heard yesterday.

Coleen and Rebekah have been at war since October 2019, when Coleen publicly accused her rival of leaking "false stories" about her private life after a month-long "sting operation".

Rebekah, 40, denies the accusations and is now suing for libel.

Under English defamation law, the burden of proof now will be on Coleen to prove that her post was "substantially true". The trial continues.
