INCREDIBLE TRANSFORMATION

Precious star Gabourey Sidibe reveals her amazing weight loss on the red carpet

The Oscar-nominated actress has transformed her figure over the last few months

PRECIOUS actress Gabourey Sidibe has certainly put a lot of work into her healthy eating and fitness regime - and the new pics of her on the red carpet really show it off.

The 33-year-old was snapped sporting a slimmed-down figure  as she stepped on the Watch What Happens Live red carpet.

She confidently posed with her hands on her hips in a patterned red, white and yellow skirt and figure-hugging netted black top.

Gabourey grinned for the cameras with her hair styled into loose curls.

According to some reports, the actress is believed to have lost up to 100lbs (around seven stone).

The Oscar-nominated actress has appeared in a number of films and TV shows, including American Horror Story, Precious and Empire.

Gabourey has always tried to remain positive about her body.

Speaking to Oprah Winfrey in 2009, she said: "My first diet started when I was six-years-old. I’ve never been a small girl.

"One day I had to sit down with myself and decide that I loved myself no matter what my body looked like and what other people thought about my body… I got tired of feeling bad all the time. I got tired of hating myself."

She didn't remark on her astounding weight loss, but she did speak about the tough time she had in school.

Gabourey said: "Junior high school is a battlefield. It sucked for me."

She added: "High school sucked for me. I didn’t get good with myself until I was like, 25 years old. Tell her to hold strong. Tell her to hold on, but it’ll be worth it, honestly."
