NICOLE Scherzinger couldn't resist getting to her feet and busting a move during a showstopping performance from James Hughes during the Six Chair Challenge on this weekend's X Factor.
Despite recent revelations that the Six Chair Challenge had descended into chaos, Nicole, Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh all lit up when James took the stage and performed Tina Turner's Proud Mary.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer was immediately impressed when James told her he was talking on the iconic track.
She told him to "sing his heart out" and he took her literally as he belted out the tune before breaking into the dance routine.
As the chorus kicked in, he hopped down off the stage and sang in front of the judges, much to Nicole and Sharon's delight.
Nicole had a glint in her eye as if she knew she was onto a big contender in the competition when he stood in front of the judge''s table and sang to her.
Never one not to bust a move, Nicole got up and danced in time to the beat.
Sharon was loving it so much that Louis had to use a fan to cool her down and Simon sported his Cheshire cat style grin of approval.
While insiders have said that crowds were left waiting for hours outside the Wembley Arena to get into the Six Chair Challenge, the crowd were on their feet and gave a deafening roar of applause when James finished his performance.
Nicole grasped her chest in delight as if she couldn't believe her luck that James had ended up in her category.
He might have impressed the audience and the judges looked pleased but you'll have to tune in on Saturday and Sunday night to find out if he makes it through the judges houses.
The X Factor airs at 8pm on ITV this weekend.
