Idris Elba pulling out the ‘big guns’ by stripping off in last ditch attempt to land James Bond role
Tom Hiddlestone bared his backside in The Night Manager and was launched into contention to play James Bond - now Idris Elba's ramping up his nudity in last-ditch attempt to land 007
WHEN TOM HIDDLESTON bared his backside during a sex scene in The Night Manager, he was launched into contention to play James Bond.
But now it appears IDRIS ELBA, his arch rival to fill DANIEL CRAIG’s shoes, is ramping up his own on screen nudity in a last ditch bid to get the 007 gig should it become vacant.
I can reveal the Luther star takes part in his most graphic sex scenes of his acting career during his upcoming movie A Hundred Streets.
In the throws of passion, Idris, who plays ex rugby superstar Max, lies naked on top of his estranged wife Emily, played by GEMMA ARTERTON, and viewers will see the actor’s bare bottom from a variety of angles.
A source said: “Idris is pulling out the big guns to become one of Hollywood’s leading men.

“In the past, he has regularly made Sexiest Men lists, but has been fairly restrained in getting his kit off for roles.
“This will prove a big leap for him and may push him back towards being the hot favourite to play Bond.”
The movie, which gets its premiere on November 8, sees Max struggle with life on the celebrity circuit and on the brink of losing the plot.
I’m also told Idris snorts so much fake cocaine’ throughout the film he suffered nose bleeds during filming for his extreme role to date.
A source adds: “Idris has always had edgy roles, but this is on another level, and this sex scene is set to be one of the most talked about of the year.”
However, while the raunchy moment will be a treat for viewers, it washardly a career highlight fot Gemma whose character sobs while they make love.
The actress also appeared more shaken than stirred by filming the sex scene with Idris, which she has described as the “most unsexy thing ever”.
Earlier this year she said: “I had to do a sex scene with Idris Elba in A Hundred Streets and it’s so awkward.
“They shout ‘cut’ and you’re on top of each other and you’re like,‘Oh, hello. Erm, would you like me to get you that little sock thing you had on before? Could you pass me a cardigan?’”
He’ll need to be smoother than that if he’s going to seduce the Bond Girls.
Corden's corgis
JAMES CORDEN caps a big week by dressing up again as an iconic Brit.
After his Carpool Karaoke bagged an Emmy last week, he posed as THE QUEEN for a skit on The Late Late Show.
He also transformed into Gandalf and Sherlock Holmes while “auditioning” in front of RENEE ZELLWEGER.
At the Emmys, James dressed up as all five SPICE GIRLS for an Apple Music ad.
That’s probably the nearest we’ll get to seeing them sing together again.
Si's a 'Meney
IT’S four years since JAHMENE DOUGLAS was pipped by JAMES ARTHUR to win The X Factor final.
And now he’s lost another battle to his old rival – for SIMON COWELL’s attention.
Jahmene claimed the music mogul rejected new album Unfathomable Phantasmagoria, out today, despite giving James a second chance and re-signing him to Syco, as I revealed last week.
It’s an odd move given Jahmene reached No1 with his debut album Love Never Fails in 2013 with Sony’s RCA – generally seen as a second home for X Factor graduates.
Jahmene said: “People think X Factor supports you but after the show finishes that’s it unless they are making an album with you.”
Craig checks out hotel life
WHEN CRAIG DAVID said earlier this year he was staying at a hotel after moving back to London from Miami, everyone presumed it was just a pit-stop.
But nearly 12 months after returning from the US, he is STILL living out of a suitcase at Heathrow.
Singer Craig has made the £200-a-night Sofitel at Terminal 5 his home.
He said: “It’s all there for you. There’s a gym and spa, a little newsagent’s. There is a kind of vibe going on.”
Before his UK comeback in 2015, Craig was shacked up for years in the penthouse at Miami’s Mondrian Hotel.
He had legendary weekly parties with stars such as LIL WAYNE and KATE UPTON.
But at a label meeting last year he knew he had to get back – when a junior suggested he was messing with mates instead of being in the studio. Craig said: “I wanted to kick off. But it rang true.”
I’m glad he’s back home and still milking the room service.
