Her parents – who have now split – continue to visit her grave daily and keep her memory alive.

And over the weekend it was no different as Safiyya remembered their first and only Easter together.

Sharing a touching video of the little girl having an Easter egg while in hospital, she wrote: “Last year was the best Easter I’ve ever had although it was the most tragic time of our life.

"I made sure my baby had an Easter we remembered, we made memories and she enjoyed it to the fullest, I wanted her to try chocolate, smile and have fun and she did just that!

“It was difficult pulling all these memories back up, I’ve cried, smiled and appreciated my time on earth as a family, next week marks Azaylia's year since she passed and went to heaven and knowing we made every moment precious and special fills my heart. We have memories that will last a lifetime.”

The heartbroken mother added: “Happy Easter in heaven today baby have a special day with all the children, have as many eggs as you like, mummy loves you.”

Azaylia was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia when she was eight weeks old.
