New trailer for Allied arrives – hours after Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorce is announced
As Marion Cotillard and Pitt affair rumours emerged, Paramount posted the trailer

After the news broke that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were getting divorced, Paramount decided to release the new trailer for Allied.

Despite the fact the lead stars of the film Pitt and Marion Cotillard have been dogged with affair rumours, the studio didn't go soft when they tweeted: "Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard star in #Allied. Watch a new look and see it in theatres November 23rd."
The trailer, of course, showed the actors in plenty of kissing scenes to capitalise on the rumours.
Followers quickly made it clear that Paramount weren't fooling anyone with their impeccably timed tweet, responding with a variety of humorous GIFs and memes that made light of what they had done.

"Out of all of the days, you picked today," one user wrote, while another added, "Get that free promo, Paramount!"
However, it's since been claimed that the studio had been planning to post the trailer last night for some time.
