THAT'S OUR GIRL

After dramatic onstage collapse and concerns over her health, Sheridan Smith set to tour hit West End show Funny Girl

The actress will reprise her role as Fanny Brice once the musical goes on tour in the UK next year

SHERIDAN Smith is to reprise her role as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl when the show goes on tour.

The Cilla star, 35, took almost two months off from its hit West End run this year due to “stress” and “exhaustion”.

At one performance — before Sheridan began pulling out of shows — fans said she appeared to have been drinking and was slurring her words.

The star, who has two Olivier awards, once called the part of Fanny her “dream role”. Her part was taken on by understudy Natasha J Barnes.

Next year’s tour of the musical starts in Manchester and visits Liverpool, Bristol and Cardiff.
