Divorcing Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been ‘playing up to the cameras for months’ according to body language expert
Body language expert Judi James says Brad and Angelina managed to paint an image of a near perfect relationship, despite being just eight weeks from divorce
DIVORCING A-lister’s Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie managed to paint a picture of happiness for months, says communication and body language expert, Judi James.
Looking at pictures of the couple from their last few public outings, Judi explains how Brad and Angelina – who’ve been married for two years – managed to maintain a near-perfect public imagine.
She says: “They've always produced a very air-brushed and well-choreographed public face to their relationship which is probably why the split has shocked so many people.”
Judi also points out interesting parallels between Brad’s behaviour just before he split with Jennifer Aniston in 2005.
She says: “Just prior to his last divorce from Jennifer, she and Brad took themselves off to an idyllic holiday retreat.
“The shots they posed for the press there showed them linked together using hugely romantic body language.
“They looked closer than at any time in their marriage but split the moment they got back.”
The last photographs of Brad and Angelina out together in public were taken on 12 July, two months before The Sun revealed they were divorcing.
Walking around their local Rite Aid Pharmacy with their twins, Vivienne and Konx, Judi says the couple looked relaxed, despite “strain of an imminent divorce.”
Judi tells The Sun: “Brad looks especially relaxed and happy in this shot.

“It's Angelina and their child lugging the shopping which is a bit of a comic role-reversal touch.
“It's hardly what you'd expect to see in a family suffering under the strain of an imminent divorce.”
Two days prior to these pictures being taken, Brad and Angelina showed a rare moment of affection.
Cuddling up to each other inside a Jamba Juice in Los Angeles, Brad and Ange smiled as their daughter Shiloh looked on.
Judi says: “This kind of playful mock fighting usually suggests strong sexual attraction and emotional bonding.
“Romping like this only usually ever happens when a couple are happy and full of trust for one another.
Judi adds: “Their kid joins in the play too, which is also unusual when there's tension and undercurrents.
“Children pick up on a parent's mood very quickly but again there's no sign of anything negative here, especially from Brad.”
On 4 July, Brangelina were pictured out again, this time with their children Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox, shopping at Gelson’s market.
After looking at the photographs, Judi says: “The one thing Brad and Angelina have never really looked during their time together is 'normal' but that's just what they are displaying here.
“The group look tight and well organised and judging from the body language it's very much Brad in charge.
Judi adds: “He appears oblivious to any problems if there were any by this stage and his rather Alpha-looking body language suggests he saw himself as the natural leader of his family brood.
