COMIN' ATCHA!

90s girl band Cleopatra look completely different 22 years after huge hit

IT'S been nearly a quarter of a century since Cleopatra released their long-remembered album Coming Atcha, so it's no wonder they look different.

The girl band, which was originally made up of sisters Cleo, Yonah and Zainam, shot to fame in the late 90s.

At the start of their career the group was originally called Cleopatra and the Attractions, with Cleo as the lead singer.

Their debut single Cleopatra's Theme landed in at number three on the charts and their next three singles reached the top five.

This led them on to perform at the BRIT Awards in 1999 and receive nominations for a BRIT and MOBO Award.

Cleopatra's popularity soon spread over to the US and managed to sell over 300,000 copies of their debut album Comin' Atcha.

It also meant that they got their own 60-minute Disney Channel special.

But just before they were about to release their second album Steppin' Out in 2000, they were dropped from label Maverick because their single Come and Get Me failed to gain popularity in the charts.

Their label was also keen to make Cleo into a solo artist.

Despite going their separate ways, the girls have carried on doing what they love the most.

They reunited in 2005 to perform on ITV's Hit Me Baby One More Time.

All three also returned to our screen to take part in Pop Goes the Band in 2009, which was followed by a comeback show in London.

But in recent years the girls haven't made any music together.

Cleo and Yonah have very much kept themselves in the spotlight.

The pair even took part in Celebrity Coach Trip back in 2019 alongside Vicky Pattison, Georgia Steel and Scott Thomas.

Cleo loves to share with fans what she gets up to on Instagram and is still singing on stage.

Meanwhile Yonah is a complementary therapist and dance instructor.

Shortly after the girls were dropped from their label Zainab decided to keep more of a low profile.
