Gemma Collins using ‘big pay cheque’ from West End debut to fund ‘glitziest, most extravagant wedding possible’

GEMMA Collins is reportedly using her “big pay cheque” from her West End debut to fund her upcoming wedding to Rami Hawash.

The 41-year-old has landed the coveted role of Mama Morton in Chicago: The Musical and plans to use her fee towards the “glitziest, most extravagant wedding possible”.

A source told Magazine: "It's no secret Gemma wants the glitziest, most extravagant wedding possible and, as her demands have continued, she's realised she needs to be pulling in some serious money to make that happen.

"Gemma loves to perform and feels this one last big thing before her and Rami get married.

"The big pay cheque was an added motivation and will help pay for the lavish wedding she's planning."

Gemma and Rami first dated in 2011, enjoying an on/ off romance for three years before splitting in 2014.

They got engaged in 2013 when he proposed by hiding a diamond ring in a Christmas pudding.

They briefly reconnected in 2017, but Gemma was back with James Argent soon after. However, she called time on that rocky relationship for good last year.

Last year it was revealed that Gemma and Rami had been secretly dating for six months and she later let slip in December that they were set to marry again.

Earlier this week Gemma confirmed she'll take to the stage for the first time in May.

Posting a black and white shot, Gemma wrote: "It’s official! I’m gonna be joining @chicagoonstage playing Matron ‘Mama’ Morton from Tues 31st May 2022!"

The Sun revealed the news earlier this month and told how former Towie star Gemma will take over from Sinitta.

A source at the time said: “Gemma has been in secret talks about playing Mama Morton for some time and is very excited about the opportunity.

“She has not signed anything yet as there are still issues to be ironed out with the agreement. But all being well, she will sign in the coming days.”

Towie's Gemma, who shot to fame on the ITV2 reality show in 2011, has gone on to become a household name courtesy of a host of TV appearances.

The GC revealed her former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Darren Day - who she said her infamous catchprase "I'm claustrophobic Darren" to - helped her land the part in Chicago.

She said: "Thank you to everyone who has helped me on this journey.
