JAMIE Oliver has ruled himself out of the running to be the next presenter of the Great British Bake Off.

Just last week came the shocking news that the beloved baking show would be moving from the BBC to Channel 4 after exhaustive talks broke down.

Channel 4 are said to be offering Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood £1million to not quit the show - and it appears that the telly chef isn't keen to replace them.

Speaking to Holly and Phil on This Morning earlier today, he revealed that he hadn't "been asked to do any kind of work on it" and that it would be "interesting" thing would be to to see what happens next.

Phil mentioned that they knew that Mel and Sue wouldn't be. The pair quit, claiming that they wouldn't be "going with the dough".

After being asked whether he'd been phoned up about the job, he said: "I haven't got the time to do it. I couldn't do it if I wanted to do it.

"I would get massive credibility if I did do it, massive... the kids would be like, 'finally dad, you're doing something useful with your life'."

He added that he "loved" Mary Berry: "Mary is such a legend. But I think, actually, it's in good hands, I'm sure something good will happen with it. People are clearly very protective over it. And it is a show that I sit down with my whole family and watch."

The telly chef added: "I think it's good hands."

It has been revealed that Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry could be given a golden handshake of £1million EACH if they stay on as judges on the Great British Bake Off.
